Real Sociedad's '15-16 Budget Of $73M To Represent Highest In Team History

La Liga side Real Sociedad is expected to present a budget of €68M ($72.5M) for the '15-16 season at its shareholders meeting on Dec. 9, according to the EFE. This is "the highest budget in club history." Real Sociedad President Jokin Aperribay and Economic Adviser Ignacio Serrats explained the "details of the accounts they will present to the club's board." Serrats said that the club closed the previous season with profit of more than €30M. On the budget for '15-16, what "stands out is the amount Real Sociedad will earn from TV revenue -- €45M ($48M) compared to the €25M it earned from TV revenue this season. Serrats denied replacing former Manager Jagoba Arrasate with David Moyes represented a "significant increase in spending." He estimated the cost of this at just over €200,000 ($213,200). Aperribay, for his part, appeared "satisfied with the accounts" and said that with this budget Real "can face future challenges like the stadium, as well as athletic challenges" (EFE, 11/17).
