Close To 4.5 Million Tune In To Watch Brazilian F1 Grand Prix On RTL

German free-to-air TV channel RTL "recorded close to 4.5 million viewers" for its broadcast of the Brazilian F1 Grand Prix, according to Nils Lehnebach of SPONSORs. An average of 4.42 million viewers tuned in to watch the 18th round of the '15 season. The race, which was won by Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg, drew an 18.5% market share. The Mexican Grand Prix on Nov. 1 attracted only 3.7 million viewers. In the target demographic 14-49, the Brazilian race obtained a 14.7% market share as 1.21 million viewers tuned in (SPONSORs, 11/16).

EURO QUALIFIERS
: DWDL's Alexander Krei reported RTL Nitro, which is part of RTL's family of networks, drew 390,000 viewers for its broadcast of the Euro 2016 qualifier between Hungary and Norway on Sunday. In the target demo, Hungary's 2-1 victory obtained a 1% share. The market share increased to 1.2% during the second half. On Saturday, the channel showed the matchup between Sweden and Denmark. The game attracted 500,000 viewers and had a 1.7% market share, which increased to 2.6% (DWDL, 11/16).
