Marketplace Roundup: German Olympic Committee Partners With Krombacher

The German Olympic Committee (DOSB) signed a new sponsorship deal with German brewery Krombacher. As part of the multi-year deal, the brand will use its non-alcoholic beer and beverages for marketing purposes. Krombacher will also become the official supplier of the "Deutschen Hauses" at the Rio, PyeongChang and Tokyo Games (DOSB). ... Travel Counsellors extended its partnership with EPL club Bournemouth for a second year. The travel agency will manage bookings for AFC Business club members and corporate supporters. The extension of the partnership will also see Travel Counsellors receive matchday sponsorship and advertising at Vitality Stadium (Bournemouth). ... The Great Run Company announced it is seeking a new title sponsor for the Great Run Series, a group of running events staged across nine cities in the U.K. and Ireland. Incorporating the Great North Run, now billed as "The World’s Favourite Run," the Great Run Series attracts 250,000 runners, 750,000 spectators and 5.5 million TV viewers every year. Grocery retailer Morrisons will end its sponsorship at the end of '15 (Great Run Company). ... ForexMart announced its partnership with La Liga side UD Las Palmas. The club, founded in ’49, is back in the highest league in the country after a 13-year break (ForexMart). ... National Rugby League side Sydney Roosters agreed to continue its association with Bryden Lawyers as the official member partner of the club for ’16 (Sydney Roosters). ... NRL side North Queensland Cowboys announced Westfund Health as a community partner. The regional health insurance provider will be the club’s official health fund after inking a three-year deal with the newly crowned champions (NQ Cowboys). ... EPL side Everton announced a multi-year agreement with sports science software company Kitman Labs, whose system has been installed at Everton's Finch Farm training base (Kitman Labs). ... Jockey Club Services secured a new partnership with Somerset County Cricket Club to deliver ticketing for all events at The County Ground, Taunton, for the next three years. Through this new supplier relationship, Somerset CCC will receive an "enterprise class" ticketing solution, supported by a team of ticketing experts from The Jockey Club's Business Services department (ISPORTCONNECT, 11/11). ... The New Zealand Open secured a new major funding partner, with Japan-based non-profit ISPS Handa joining BMW as co-naming rights partner for what will become the BMW ISPS Handa New Zealand Open (NZ Open).

LADBROKES AD BANNED: An "irresponsible" direct email ad from Ladbrokes has been banned by the ads watchdog for featuring a picture of a footballer aged under 25. The ad featured ManU's Memphis Depay, 21. According to the CAP advertising code, images of people aged under 25 (or who appear to be) may not be used in marketing communications involving bookmakers (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 11/10).
