Fans group Stretford End Flags commissioned a commemorative banner and "are asking fans to turn on their mobile phone torches in the seventh minute of the clash against the Dutch side to honour the former number seven" (London DAILY MAIL, 11/9). ... Newly appointed Ghana Premier League side BA United CEO MUSTAPHA RIGA "will be unveiled" on Saturday in Sunyani. The former Bolton player, who was appointed by the club’s board last week, "has been given a long-term mandate of 15 years to run the club" (GHANA SOCCER NET, 11/8). ... Racing Victoria CEO BERNARD SAUNDRY "sought a meeting" with MICHELLE PAYNE, specifically "to discuss her experience and impressions of sexism in horse racing." The first female Melbourne Cup winner, who characterized racing as "a chauvinistic sport" in her victory speech last Tuesday, was widely applauded for tabling such "candid criticism." He said that he "is taking Payne's criticism very seriously." Dodd's wife started a GoFundMe appeal for help with insurance costs, and supporters have raised more than A$32,000 ($22,600) toward Dodd's treatment so far (London INDEPENDENT, 11/7).

Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown.
