Top-tier Brazilian side Corinthians announced a partnership with São Paulo-based sports advertising agency TZK. TZK is a representative of Sockatyes, a Hong Kong-based company which holds the worldwide patent for adding advertising space to football club’s socks. Corinthians is reportedly seeking $1.5M per year from a brand looking to place its logo on the side’s playing socks starting in the ’16-17 season. Sockatyes recently worked with Spanish side Atletico Madrid at the end of the ’14-15 season (ECO FOOT, 11/6).
