Castle Lager Named Title Sponsor Of Council Of Southern Africa Football Associations Cup

Castle Lager was named the title sponsor for the '16 edition of the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations Cup, which "was officially launched in Windhoek on Tuesday," according to NEW ERA. The championship, organized by COSAFA, in conjunction with the Namibia FA, will be staged in Namibia from May 15-29 and matches "will be played at the Sam Nujoma and Independence stadiums." Castle Lager was the title sponsor for the inaugural event in '97 "and remained so for a decade." Castle Lager "signed an agreement as title sponsor of the COSAFA Cup for the next five years," securing the future of the regional competitions (NEW ERA, 11/5).
