La Liga Side Espanyol President Collet's Future Unclear After Recent Ownership Change

La Liga side Espanyol President Joan Collet's tenure with the club "could be close to ending," according to MARCA. The entrance of Chen Yansheng, whose technology company Rastar Group acquired a majority stake in Espanyol, "shifts the balance of power and the landscape" in the club's administrative council. Espanyol is changing owners and Collet "no longer has as much support to remain in the position." But in "any case, Collet's exit will not be immediate." The Asian magnate "will not fully enter the club" until '16, and at the moment, he "has not communicated a desire to be president." In fact, "he does not consider it viable." Collet "knows that his situation is uncertain," and has been aware of this for a while, "because it was a secret to few" that Espanyol's majority shareholders wanted to give up their titles before the end of the year (MARCA, 11/5).
