Media Notes: Chinese Super League Teams Up With iRena For Mobile Games

The Chinese Super League "has agreed a partnership with iRena, a Beijing-based sports agency, to jointly launch a range of CSL-themes mobile games." IRena "will collaborate with game developers and the CSL to create a series of soccer game apps for various mobile platforms and web portals such as Sina Weibo and Tencent Weibo" (SOCCEREX, 11/4). ... The IOC announced its latest social media campaign asking athletes to share their love of sport and get active with the #iLoveYOG hashtag as they gear up for the second Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway, in February (IOC). ... The WTA and iQiyi, the largest online video content service platform in China, announced they have signed a 10-year content partnership. From '17, iQiyi will become the WTA's digital rights partner in China. IQiyi will transmit live over 2,000 women's tennis matches, including singles and doubles, along with exclusive highlights, player interviews and content from the WTA Magazine Show. WTA content will be available to iQiyi users on their personal computers, mobile phones and over-the-top TV via Internet in English, Cantonese and Mandarin (WTA).
