Franchise Notes: Red Bull Extends Deadline To Find Engine Deal For '16 To Mid-November

Red Bull Racing F1 extended its deadline "to find an engine deal for 2016 to mid-November." The former world champion warned that it "will leave the sport at the end of the season" unless it sources a "competitive supply" of engines but is currently bereft of a deal of any kind for next year. The former world champions "are believed to have three options for next season: reconciling with Renault, accepting a spec-old supply of Ferrari units or gambling on Honda if McLaren can be persuaded to share their power providers" (Sydney DAILY TELEGRAPH, 11/1). ... Conference Premier League side Forest Green Rovers is "now the first team in the world to ban all meat products from its stadium." It initially got rid of meat four years ago "before ditching fish in August this year." Now cow’s milk "has been replaced with a soya alternative and even animal-friendly lager has been introduced to make the club entirely vegan" (YAHOO NEWS, 11/3).
