Media Notes: Eleven Sports Network Signs Agreement With MP & Silva

Eleven Sports Network signed an agreement with MP & Silva for the exclusive rights to broadcast the inaugural WBSC Premier12 event live in Singapore. Eleven will broadcast 30 of the 38 games live from the World Baseball Softball Confederation Premier12 tournament, which will be co-hosted by Japan and Taiwan from Nov. 8-21. The remaining eight games will be shown on the same day via delayed telecast (Eleven Sports Network). ... Eurosport will broadcast three Eurocup games live on the main channel of its network. Starting with round four of the regular season and continuing with round five the following week, Eurocup games will also be shown on Eurosport, and not only on Eurosport 2, the competition's TV home since its first season in '05. This marks the first time ever that Eurocup games will be broadcasted live on Eurosport's main channel (Eurocup). ... Former Chelsea player Frank Lampard appeared as a studio guest during Sky Sports' coverage of Tottenham vs. Aston Villa on Monday Night Football. Lampard was "questioned about the goings on at Stamford Bridge" as he joined Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher prior to the match (London DAILY MIRROR, 11/2). ... The Pakistan Cricket Board agreed to a broadcast production deal for the Pakistan Super League with the U.K.-based Sunset+Vine to cover the league. Sunset+Vine’s technical bid was cleared by the bid committee, after which its financial bid was taken into consideration, leading it to be awarded with the deal. PSL will reserve all production rights for the tournament, ensuring quality coverage of the league as per int'l standards (PCB). ... The Premier League announced beIN Sports has been awarded its broadcasting rights in the Middle East and North Africa region for seasons '16-17 to '18-19. BeIN Sports is the Premier League’s current broadcast partner in the region (EPL).
