Franchise Notes: Inter Milan Announces New Academy In Brazil

Inter Milan "announced a new academy in Brazil" on Thursday. The "Inter Academy Base Brasil" was "unveiled at a press conference in the Maracana stadium." The project "will be developed thanks to the partnership with World Wide Soccer Academy and their Base Brasil project, which is made up of a network of 27 football schools all over Brazil" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 10/29). ... Every single player at National League side Woking FC "has been made available for loan following a 3-0 defeat to Maidenhead United in the 4th round of FA Cup qualifying." Club Chair Mike Smith said that Manager Garry Hill addressed all of the players and "told them exactly where they stand." Smith: "A circular has gone out making the entire squad available for loan. If they don't want to contribute then we'd be quite happy for them to go and ply their trade somewhere else" (YAHOO, 10/28).
