Event Notes: FFA Awaiting Word From FIFA On Date, Venue Of Bangladesh Qualifier

Football Federation Australia is waiting on advice from FIFA as to whether the Socceroos' World Cup qualifier against Bangladesh "will be postponed or shifted amid heightened concerns about terrorism in the country." FFA has asked football authorities to move the game -- most probably to Dubai or the UAE -- or "make other arrangements for security" and has been "waiting for several weeks to hear whether they will agree to the request" (THE AGE, 10/26). ... Mexico City's Mobility Secretariat designed a mobility plan for the eastern part of the city for the Mexico F1 Grand Prix from Friday through Sunday. Fans attending the race will be able to use "special transportation" with their event tickets, from large capacity remote parking lots and from the Auditoria Nacional, and they will also have transportation back to the lots after the race (LA AFICIÓN, 10/23).
