Marketplace Roundup: Visa Europe Increases Partnership Ties With FIA Formula E

Visa Europe announced it is to expand its partnership as the official payment partner of the FIA Formula E championship. Having joined Formula E for the European leg of the inaugural season, Visa has now increased its global ties with the series for the next three seasons. Visa Europe will continue to put its name to the Visa Fastest Lap Award as part of this year's activation, and in addition to receiving a bespoke trophy, winners will also continue to receive two bonus points on top of any points earned during the race (Formula E). ... Int'l private banking and asset management group LGT is the new partner of the German Formula E team ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport. The agreement was brokered by Infront Sports & Media. The commitment to Formula E marks LGT's first sponsorship in the motor sport segment (Infront). ... League Championship side Sheffield Wednesday announced a brand new commercial partnership with Titanbet.co.uk, which will become the club's official west stand sponsor for the current campaign. As part of the new agreement, Titanbet.co.uk will supply a range of sports betting promotions, including free bet rewards, cashback specials, unique refunds and a welcome package. Titanbet.co.uk will receive a package of marketing rights at Hillsborough, including branding of the west stand, TV arc perimeter boards plus advertising in the official match-day program, on the screen and around the concourses via the club's new stadium TV system (Sheffield Wednesday). ... Second Bundesliga side VfL Bochum renewed and expanded its partnership with mobile phone retailer Sparhandy. The company, which has been a partner of the club since '10, will become a premium partner of the club (VfL Bochum). ... Twenty3 Sport + Entertainment has been appointed by UFC to manage the branding, fan engagement and activation initiatives for the forthcoming UFC 193: Rousey vs. Holm event at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne on Nov. 15 (UFC).
