The longtime managing director of Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen will become an associate partner at Goldmedia (Goldmedia). ... ALEKSANDAR BORICIC was elected president of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) and will be chairing Europe’s volleyball family for the next four years, up until '19. Boricic is the ninth president of Europe’s governing body for Volleyball since the CEV was established back in '73 (CEV). ... The Rome 2024 Olympic Bid Committee appointed FABIO GUADAGNINI as its new director of communications. The Italian joins the committee from Fox Sports Italy, where he was director and vice chair (Rome 2024). ... League One side Swindon Manager MARK COOPER "left the club following Saturday’s defeat at Millwall." Cooper, 46, "steered Swindon to the League One play-offs last season," but a 2-0 loss at the New Den left the team without a league win in six matches and one point above the relegation zone. He "has worked with a limited budget since being appointed" as KEVIN MCDONALD's successor at the County Ground in the summer of '13 following a brief spell as assistant manager (PA, 10/17).
