Marketplace Roundup: Man City's Men's, Women's Clubs Partner With Betsafe

Man City unveiled a partnership with online gaming company Betsafe to become an official betting partner across its core regions for both the men's and women's teams. The new agreement will allow Betsafe to offer fans of the two teams a range of exclusive promotional activities. The deal includes in-stadia initiatives, including Betsafe-branded betting kiosks, fan activations at the Etihad Stadium, access to exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, LED advertising and an online presence as Man City's official betting partner (Man City). ... Movistar on Thursday presented a sponsorship agreement with Spanish Basketball League (ACB) club Joventut. Under the one-year deal, Movistar will sponsor the club's youth academy and promote Joventut's model of basketball training in the city. The relationship will allow the club to strengthen its youth basketball structure and increase its annual budget, which was €400,000 ($456,000) (EFE, 10/15). ... Royal Belgium FA Marketing Dir Benjamin Goeders said that Belgium's qualification for Euro 2016 "should bring in" between €2.5M-€3M ($2.9M-$3.4M) for the team. Goeders: "On average, when counting sponsors, TV rights and marketing, we earn €10M ($11.4M) per year. Compared to a few years ago, when the results were worse, it has tripled! I'll mention that our profits are fed back into Belgium football, into training and amateur clubs" (LA MEUSE, 10/14). ... German Hockey League (DEL) side Cologne Sharks agreed to a strategic partnership with Chinese marketing agency Sport Intentions Management & Consulting (Cologne Sharks). ... Premiership side Gloucester Rugby confirmed it entered into a partnership with Peel, which owns and operates Gloucester Quays Outlet Centre. The new partnership, which builds upon the relationship between the two organizations, will see the Peel logo featured on all of the club's playing shirts as well as the delivery of coaching camps in Gloucester schools and events (Gloucester Rugby).

188BET TO BACK BADMINTON ENGLAND: Badminton England announced a partnership with 188BET, which becomes the official online gaming partner of the All England Open Badminton Championships. The Championships are held at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham every March, and the new three-year partnership will see 188BET become the event's official gaming partner with a presence on the concourse from '16 (Badminton England).

FIAT TO SPONSOR FIGC: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) have renewed their sponsorship agreement for another four years. The Fiat brand will be the top sponsor and official car of the Italian national team until '19. The agreement covers the supply of a fleet of cars that will accompany the Italian team during competitive matches, friendlies and withdrawals. The Fiat brand will also be featured on the Azzurri training uniforms and on advertising space on the sideline (CALCIO E FINANZA, 10/13).
