Football Notes: Neymar's Former Club Asks FIFA To Ban Him For Six Months

Neymar's former club, Brasileiro side Santos, asked FIFA to ban the Brazilian for six months over what it believes "is a breach of the governing body's disciplinary code." Santos' new president, Modesto Roma, made the official plea arguing that Neymar "contravened various regulations in article 62 of FIFA's transfer code" and acted in "bad faith." The club is also demanding €55M ($63M) for the player "over him, according to Santos, breaking his contract with the club" (London DAILY MAIL, 10/15). ... Real Madrid has "taken another step" to prevent violent fans from attending its games, whether at home or on the road. The club has changed its ticket sales system for away games. For Real Madrid's away game at Paris St. Germain next Wednesday, Real will require the club member who purchases the tickets to be present to use them. To do so, prior to the game, the member who purchased a ticket will receive a non-transferable bracelet that must be presented for entry to the game (EL MUNDO, 10/15).
