Mexican national basketball team coach SERGIO VALDEOLMILLOS was on Tuesday named coach of Venezuelan Professional Basketball League (LPB) club Marinos de Anzoátegui. He will continue to coach Mexico's national team (LA AFICIÓN, 10/13). ... Scottish Premiership side Dundee United appointed its former striker MIXU PAATELAINEN "as head coach." He has managerial experience "in Scotland with Cowdenbeath, Hibernian and Kilmarnock and succeeds JACKIE MCNAMARA in the United dugout" (BBC, 10/14). ... Perform announced that JOHN GLEASURE has been appointed to the group's board of directors. Gleasure, who founded the company with OLIVER SLIPPER and SIMON DENYER in '07, has been a significant shareholder and exec in the company since its formation, and has dealt with many of its major rights holders and strategic relationships on a global basis. More recently, he moved across to dedicate his time to the group's impending OTT launch, where he is joined by JAMES RUSHTON (former MD, APAC) WARREN PALK (former MD, Northern Europe and MENA), BEN LAVENDER (former product leader for Amazon instant video) and ASHLEY WIRASINHA (former VP marketing -- Europe, Netflix) (Perform Group). ... Under Armour COO & CFO BRAD DICKERSON is "leaving early next year." Dickerson, who has been with the company since '04, will stay on until February. He has served as CFO since '08 and added the COO title earlier this year. The company said he is "stepping down to pursue another professional opportunity outside of the athletic performance industry" (BALTIMORE SUN, 10/13). The move will leave UA Founder, Chair & CEO KEVIN PLANK "without an executive who helped fuel the company's rapid growth." UA will conduct an "external search for a new CFO, and Dickerson’s operational duties will be distributed among the current leadership team," as well as to the new CFO (BLOOMBERG, 10/13).
