Euroleague Basketball Extends Viasat Deal For Five More Seasons

Viasat Broadcasting and Euroleague Basketball announced that they concluded a comprehensive new agreement, coordinated by Mediapro, for the extension of the exclusive broadcasting rights to the top European basketball competition for the Baltic states and the Nordic region. The agreement provides Viasat with free and pay-TV rights for five more years, until the end of the '19-20 season. The license is granted on an exclusive basis for the Territory of Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and the Baltic Republics of Latvia and Estonia. In channels outside Lithuania, the new deal allows Viasat to broadcast at least one game live per competition week throughout the regular season, Top 16 and playoffs, as well as all Final Four games, the official draws of the competition and all Final Four collateral events.

RUSSIAN TEAMS: Euroleague also announced a new deal coordinated by IMG that will see NTV-Plus produce all home games for the three Russian teams in the Euroleague -- CSKA Moscow, Khimki Moscow Region and Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar -- in accordance with Euroleague broadcasting standards. When no Russian team is competing, NTV-Plus will broadcast at least one game per week and the network will also broadcast all of the 2016 Final Four games.

NEW AND IMPROVED
: A new and improved Euroleague.TV, powered by NeuLion, was unveiled with a special discount available for season-pass subscribers through the first two weeks of Euroleague games. Thanks to the NeuLion platform, Euroleague TV will allow fans to catch the action any time, anywhere. All Euroleague games will be available to stream live and on-demand on multiple devices, including personal computers, smartphones and tablets, all with HD quality content. Viewers can stream up to four games at once using quad view. There will also be additional special Euroleague content, including real-time highlights and statistical integration of scores and standings. Moreover, the new Euroleague TV platform allows for interactive social media integration with both Twitter and Facebook (Euroleague).
