OL Reports Loss For Sixth Consecutive Year, President Is Confident In Team's Future

French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais announced a loss for the '14-15 season "for the sixth year in a row," according to Jérémy Laugier of 20 MINUTES. Club President Jean-Michel Aulas said that the loss of €21.4M ($24.5M) is "a little less bad than last year." Last year the club reported a €26.4M loss. Defending the numbers Aulas said, "The accounting treatment of the data ended June 30, 2015 before complimentary elements were put in place in July and August. The season looks more flattering when taking into account the differed €36M ($41.2M) (from transfers and Champions League qualification). ... We hope and we have strong convictions to imagine beneficiary results thanks to our sport success, entering our new Grand Stade and to transfers." Aulas added he wants to "start a victorious spiral" (20 MINUTES, 10/14).
