FA Could Land $84.3M If Chelsea And Tottenham Agree To Wembley Ground Share

The FA could land £55M ($84.3M) if it confirmed a "ground share of Wembley that would see both Chelsea and Tottenham playing there from 2017," according to Aaron Flanagan of the London DAILY MIRROR. Negotiations "are continuing as both of the Premier League big-hitters look for temporary homes," as Stamford Bridge and White Hart Lane are redeveloped. The FA is coming under "increased pressure" from Premier League bosses to allow "at least one" of the teams to play at the national stadium. But the FA "could allow both teams to move in" from the '17-18 season -- and bosses would demand around £11M ($16.8M)-a-season from each club to use the ground. Chelsea "would require use of the stadium for three years," while the Spurs "would need Wembley for at least one season, possibly two." However, while the Spurs "are reportedly keen on a deal to share the national stadium, the Blues are not" (DAILY MIRROR, 10/11).
