Real Madrid exec NICOLÁS MARTÍN-SANZ faces charges of fraud. Martín-Sanz, the president of the club's reserve team, Real Madrid Castilla, "could be sentenced to up to six years in prison." The fraud "allegedly took place" in spring '12, when he is said to have demanded a fictitious debt from a lawyer (EL MUNDO, 10/6). ... 2012 Olympic judo Gold Medalist TEDDY RINER was questioned by police Monday in relation to “an investigation into the management of his sporting club Levallois and his controversial salary.” The 26-year-old eight-time world champion was held as a “free suspect” and “is being suspected of embezzlement” (LE MONDE, 10/6). ... PSG’s all-time leading goal scorer ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC is currently "in talks with Universal for a film-adaptation of his life.” Ibrahimovic: “We are in discussions. I’ll have the last word and it will be my decision. Everything would have to be done perfectly” (METRONEWS, 10/6). ... Inter Milan captain MAURO ICARDI fired agent ABIAN MORENO and "handed his business dealings" to wife WANDA NARA. Businessman Moreno, who had represented the striker for more than 10 years, "broke the news during a radio interview" (London DAILY MAIL, 10/5). ... Former West Germany and Bayern Munich striker GERD MÜLLER "has Alzheimer's disease." Bayern said that the 69-year-old Müller "has had the illness for 'a long time' and that he has been cared for professionally with the support of his family since the beginning of February this year." Müller, known as "Der Bomber" for his scoring-prowess, "scored 533 goals in 585 games for Bayern" between '64-79, helping the side to 13 titles (AP, 10/6).

MOYES SAYS NO: La Liga side Real Sociedad Manager DAVID MOYES has allegedly turned down the choice to become EPL side Sunderland manager. It has been reported that the Black Cats have made an approach to Real Sociedad for its manager, but Moyes "rejected the chance of a Premier League return." Moyes did "reportedly send trusted sidekick" JIMMY LUMSDEN to "take a look at the Wearside club once he was aware that they wanted him to become their new boss" (London DAILY MIRROR, 10/5).

OSORIO TO MEXICO?: Brasileiro side São Paulo coach JUAN CARLOS OSORIO's appointment as the new manager of the Mexican national team "only lacks confirmation" from the Mexican Football Federation. São Paulo exec MILTON CRUZ said that "Mexico is Osorio's destination." Cruz: "It's very difficult for a club that is in the semifinals of the Copa do Brasil, that has never won this Copa, and we have a chance" (LA AFICIÓN, 10/5).
