German Media Company ProSiebenSat.1 Invests In London-Based Website 90min.com

ProSiebenSat.1 "has acquired shares of London-based football website 90min.com," according to Nils Lehnebach of SPONSORs. The media company "wants to turn the website into a leading brand in Germany." ProSiebenSat.1 is the largest investor as part of a capital increase of €13.4M ($15.1M). Overall, the website received €34.8M ($39.2M) from investors, which include Battery Ventures, Dawn Captial and Gemini Ventures. Details of ProSiebenSat.1's investment "remain confidential." The website's content "is largely user-generated." 90min.com has a reach of 30 million unique user per month, according to its website (SPONSORs, 10/6).
