Media Notes: Dennis Publishing To Launch Free Fitness Magazine

Dennis Publishing will "this week make its first foray into the free magazine market," launching a health and fitness title that will take on market leader Men's Health. Dennis is investing £3M ($4.6M) in making the new title, Coach, a success, with the first edition due out on Wednesday. Dennis Publishing Group Managing Dir Ian Westwood said that the title is targeting the more general fitness minded everyman "who aren't likely to buy a magazine with a sculpted six pack on the cover" (London GUARDIAN, 10/6). ... Scottish Premiership side Celtic's two Highland kickoffs in November have been moved for TV coverage in the latest round of games announced by the Scottish Professional Football League. The Scottish champions' participation in the Europa League group stages has seen matches against Ross County and Inverness CT moved to Sundays (STV, 10/6). ... Sports media services company deltatre struck a deal with video technology provider EVS for the joint delivery of the '15-16 Champions League season. The announcement follows a multi-year collaboration between the two companies, which have been developing digital and broadcast services for coverage of major sporting events since '07 (deltatre).
