Construction on all of Qatar's 2022 World Cup stadiums -- including at least two whose locations have to be confirmed -- will be completed in five years' time, according to Peter Kovessy of DOHA NEWS. Qatar Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy Secretary-General Nasser Al Khater "disclosed the organization's internal deadline this week." Al Khater said, "We are looking to complete our stadiums by 2020. We are happy with the progress." Khalifa Stadium will be the first World Cup facility "to come online and will be ready for use in 2017, shortly after construction is finished in late 2016."
