AFL Grand Final Ratings For Channel Seven Put Pressure On NRL, Nine Network

The Australian Football League grand final "was a ratings success for the Seven Network, putting the pressure on the Nine Network to deliver a similar ratings result" with the National Rugby League decider on Sunday night, according to the London GUARDIAN. The metro ratings show 2.635 million viewers "tuned in to watch Hawthorn beat West Coast on Saturday." This figure "is down from 2.828 million viewers for last year’s AFL decider -- the most watched show on OzTAM’s overnight five-city metro ratings in 2014." The NRL grand final, the fourth most watched show last year with 2.621 million viewers, "will air on Nine on Sunday night" (GUARDIAN, 10/3).
