AC Milan President Yet To Complete Deal To Sell 48% Of Club To Thai Investor

AC Milan President Silvio Berlusconi has "yet to conclude a deal" to sell 48% of the club to Thai investor Bee Taechaubol, according to Ben Gladwell of ESPN. Bee, "originally expected to have completed his purchase" by Wednesday, held talks with Berlusconi in Milan this week and "spent eight hours in negotiations on Wednesday." La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Bee had requested an extension to the Wednesday deadline for the €480M ($537M) deal, which was first mooted in January. A statement from Berlusconi's Fininvest -- officially the club's holding company -- said that "technical aspects" were being finalized. Berlusconi will remain as club president, and will retain the remaining 52% of shares, with Bee replacing Barbara Berlusconi as VP (ESPN, 10/1).
