Media Notes: Teleclub And Sky Deutschland Renew And Expand Cooperation

Swiss pay-TV broadcaster Teleclub will "continue to offer its subscribers channels from Sky Deutschland via cable, satellite and IPTV." The two companies "renewed and expanded their cooperation." The new contract now also "enables Swiss viewers to watch Sky Deutschland's coverage of the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League" (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 9/28). ... The National Basketball League and Sky Television announced a new partnership for the upcoming '15-16 NBL season to broadcast every New Zealand Breakers game home or away live on Sky Sport. Sky will show at least three live games each week (including the Breakers) with all other games throughout the season to be shown on a delayed basis (NBL). ... IMG and Panasonic Avionics have signed a five-year extension to their existing agreement, which will see Panasonic continue to provide the technology for Sport 24 -- the world's only live 24/7 sports channel for the airline industry. Sport 24 is exclusively available on Panasonic's live TV system, eXTV, which is broadcast via satellite to over 250 specially-equipped planes on 10 airlines, showing live coverage of major sporting events including the NBA, Formula 1, the NFL, Barclays Premier League, Bundesliga, Grand Slam tennis and golf's majors (IMG).
