Sport1 Will Show Bayern Munich's Women's Champions League Games

German free-to-air TV channel Sport1 "has secured UEFA Women's Champions League rights," according to Timo Nöthling of QUOTENMETER. The channel "will show the games of Women's Bundesliga side Bayern Munich." The games of the two other German Champions League participants, VfL Wolfsburg and FFC Frankfurt, "will not air on Sport1." The channel will kick off its coverage on Oct. 14 with the return leg between Bayern Munich and Dutch side Twente Enschede. German insurance company Allianz is not only the shirt sponsor of Bayern's women's team, but will also be the presenting partner of the game broadcasts (QUOTENMETER, 9/23).
