Research Shows The Beckham Clan Is Wealthier Than The Queen

The Beckhams are "wealthier than the Queen," according to Elizabeth Anderson of the London TELEGRAPH. "Brand Beckham" -- which takes into account the whole family -- "is now worth an estimated half a billion pounds, according to brand experts." The London School of Marketing "analyzed David and Victoria Beckham's separate business ventures, as well as the marketing appeal of the couple and their children, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper." They estimate the family is currently worth £470M ($723M), and "rising in value" by around £30M ($46M) to £40M ($61.5M) each year. The Queen's estimated fortune is £340M ($523M), up £10M ($15.4M) from last year, according to the Sunday Times Rich List 2015. The Beckham marketing power resides in the family's three main corporate vehicles: Footworks, where "Beckham's football-related revenues are collated," the "Brand Beckham" label, which includes "money made from endorsements," and Beckham Venture, which accounts for Victoria Beckham's "fashion business." Current estimates put the value of Footworks at £150M ($231M), the Beckham name at £70M ($107.6M) and Beckham Ventures at £60M ($92.3M). It is not "just the parents who are adding to the Beckham money pot." Brooklyn, the eldest of their four children, "has caught the media's eye, appearing in the most recent edition of Miss Vogue." He has 4 million followers on Instagram, "boosting his potential for landing lucrative marketing deals." Romeo Beckham recently "fronted a Christmas advertising campaign for Burberry." Anton Dominique of the London School of Marketing said, "The Beckham name has the Midas touch when it comes to advertising" (TELEGRAPH, 9/22).
