Event Notes: India To Compete Against New Zealand In Six-Match Hockey Test Series

As part of its preparations for next year's Olympic Games, "India will compete against New Zealand" in a six-match hockey test series from Oct. 2-11 in Auckland, Nelson and Christchurch. A Hockey India spokesperson said in a statement, "While India will play the first two matches against the New Zealand A team the last four matches will be played against the New Zealand senior men team" (FIRST POST, 9/22). ... The fight to secure Julius Baer pole position for this season's Formula E races will be decided in a five-car 15-minute shootout. As was the case in season one, the drivers will be placed into four groups of five by means of a lottery. However, these sessions have now been shortened to six minutes. This means the drivers will have time for an out-lap, a warm-up lap at 170kW and one flying lap at 200kW. The overall five fastest drivers from these four sessions will then go out one by one in the Super Pole shoot out (Formula E).
