A MICHAEL SCHUMACHER-signed 2006 Ferrari FXX 29/30 will be "made available for auction by the end of the month." Motor Authority reported that the vehicle which bears the signature of the recovering former F1 driver may "sell for less than its original sticker price." According to Motor Authority, the price of the auction item "may be pegged" around $2.3M, a few hundred thousand cheaper than its original $3M price tag back in '06. The car "comes with an 809 horsepower and only 1,500 miles recorded travel" (LATINO POST, 9/12). ... Sheffield Wednesday announced that former England World Cup-winning goalkeeper RON SPRINGETT died at the age of 80. The club said Springett, who made 384 appearances in its colors, had passed after a "short illness." He remains the most capped England int'l in the club's history (PA, 9/13).
