NFL Opener Attracts 250,000 Viewers On German Free-TV Channel Sat.1

German free-to-air TV channel Sat.1 "recorded a quarter million viewers for its broadcast of the NFL season opener," according to Manuel Nunez Sanchez of QUOTENMETER. The 30-minute pregame show obtained an 8.9% market share, along with 13.4% in the target demographic 14-49. The market shares increased to 9.3% and 13.9% in the target demo when the game kicked off at 2am on Friday morning. The total viewership numbers were 250,000 and 280,000 in the target demo. During the second half, the market share increased to 14.1% in the target demo as 220,000 viewers tuned in at 3:10am. The third quarter, starting at 4:10am, recorded a peak market share of 15.7% in the target demo. The total numbers decreased slightly to 190,000 viewers, along with a market share of 8.6%. The fourth quarter of the Patriots-Steelers game attracted 180,000 viewers. The final quarter had a market share of 7.4% and 11.9% in the target demo (QUOTENMETER, 9/12).
