Media Notes: Women's Ashes Final To Air On Free-To-Air TV In Australia

Australians "can finally cheer a national cricket team to Ashes victory, with the final match of the women's series set to be broadcast on free-to-air TV." The Southern Stars "are well ahead of the English women." The Australians lead the series 8-2, so England "would need to win all three remaining T20 games to manage a draw." The Nine Network's free-to-air HD channel GEM "will show the last match of the series on delay at 9pm on Monday, ahead of the men's T20 match, which starts at midnight" (SYDNEY MORNING HERALD, 8/26). ... ONE World Sports has extended its exclusive, multi-year licensing agreement of Arsenal FC TV for multi-platform use in the U.S. and Canada. Arsenal FC TV is the club’s official TV channel that covers Arsenal on and off the pitch. Under the agreement with int'l media rights agency MP & Silva, ONE World Sports will deliver Arsenal’s games throughout the 10-month season, including those within the English Premier League, UEFA Championship and FA Cup (ONE World Sports). ... Man City will give its fans "the chance to walk down the Etihad Stadium tunnel with the players thanks to the introduction of a 360 degree camera." Becoming the first football team to install a 360 camera in its tunnel, Man City’s footage "can now be manipulated by YouTube viewers adding extra behind-the-scenes content to matchdays" (THE DRUM, 8/25). ... Westwood One Radio Network, which operates 204 stations in the U.S., will launch a weekly segment on Man City, called "Man City Mintue," on the Jim Rome Show on Friday (Westwood One).
