Marketplace Roundup: Echo Signs On As Commonwealth Games Sponsor

The 2018 Commonwealth Games "has already secured its first major sponsor." Echo Entertainment's Gold Coast property, Jupiters Hotel and Casino, signed on as the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games' first "official partner" on Monday. The "size of the sponsorship deal was not announced" (BRISBANE TIMES, 8/24). ... EPL side West Ham named Royal London its official timing partner. The initial two-year agreement will run for two seasons. Royal London will receive various branding opportunities linked to timing at the Boleyn Ground and the Hammers’ new Stratford home, and the brand will also be introducing a range of limited edition timepieces to commemorate the final season (West Ham). ... Craft brewer Purity Brewing Co. formed a new partnership with the Ricoh Arena and English Premiership side Wasps. The Midlands-based craft ales, based in Warwickshire, joined forces with the Ricoh Arena's owners, Wasps, as it looks to extend its support of rugby throughout the West Midlands. Purity has already been working alongside Wasps to trial the offering to supporters and visitors to the Ricoh Arena (Wasps).
