Wallabies Set To Capitalize On Test Match Against U.S. Eagles At Soldier Field

Former National Rugby League player Jarryd Hayne "has done more to market the Wallabies’ match" in the U.S. than the Australian Rugby Union "ever could," but winger Rob Horne believes his team "can capitalise on that and attract a raft of new American fans with a thrilling display of rugby in a fortnight," according to Jamie Pandaram of the Sydney DAILY TELEGRAPH. The Wallabies will play the U.S. Eagles "in a Test match" on Sept. 5 at Soldier Field. The All Blacks "played in front of a sellout crowd at the venue last year to rave reviews, and with the hype around Hayne this year the Wallabies are sure to receive curious attention from the public and potentially even scouts." Horne: "There’s a huge market over there for sport, they love it, the more attention, the better for this Test. To be able to drum excitement for rugby in an emerging rugby nation is only positive." The match "will be the final warm-up game before the Wallabies head to England for the World Cup" (DAILY TELEGRAPH, 8/23).
