Marketplace Roundup: Manchester United Signs Deal With Asian Casino Company Donaco

ManU announced a partnership with Asian casino resort company Donaco Int'l Ltd. The agreement will see the two organizations work together to connect with the club's 325 million fans across Asia, through the use of exclusive club content and branding (ManU). ... Repucom announced it will be opening an office in South Korea. Based in Seoul, Repucom's new business operations will be led by John Mou, who takes up the role of managing director, Korea (Repucom). ... Serie A side Bologna has agreed to a "major sponsorship deal with FAAC." The automated door and barrier manufacturer's logo "will appear on the front of the Serie A newcomers matchday jerseys throughout the 2015/16 season." Further details of the deal "will be revealed at an official launch in Bologna on Thursday" (SOCCEREX, 8/19). ... Irish app developer Sportego has become the first official fantasy partner of EPL side West Bromwich Albion in an initial one-year partnership. It will launch the WBA Fantasy 5 app on Aug. 26. West Brom supporters will receive a tailor-made version of the app, WBA Fantasy 5, which will be available on IOS and Android devices for the '15-16 season offering a fantasy football game based around the team’s fixtures (West Brom). ... Italian scooter brand Vespa "has signed up" football player Alessandro Del Piero as its world-wide brand ambassador. Del Piero will pay a visit to India on Sept. 6 for a Vespa event (TIMES OF INDIA, 8/17). ... After two defeats in its opening two games, EPL side Sunderland has "been made relegation favourites by their own club sponsor." Online gambling company Dafabet has the team "at 5/8 favourites for the drop, slightly ahead of Watford at 11/10 and Bournemouth at 6/5" (London INDEPENDENT, 8/18).

SHOW ME YOUR STRIPES: Premiership rugby side London Wasps unveiled the new Under Armour kit which will be used throughout the upcoming '15-16 season, the first of a multi-year deal. The home kit features the Wasps’ traditional black and gold colors, with white and gold as the chosen away colors for the new season (London Wasps). ... Pro12 rugby club Glasgow Warriors unveiled its "new kit" for the upcoming '15-16 season -- with a nod to the city it plays in. The new Macron-designed "Built for Glasgow" kit features the Warriors' standard colors of black and light blue, with a "design of the famous Finnieston Crane on light blue panels on the side of the shirt" (SCOTSMAN, 8/19).
