Marketplace Roundup: Sky Deutschland Renews Kia Motors Partnership

German pay-TV network Sky Deutschland "has renewed its partnership with Kia Motors Deutschland as a co-sponsor of its Bundesliga coverage." The network "also extended its deal with EA Sports." Both brands "will be featured during Sky's coverage of the '15-16 season." Kia "will also remain the naming-rights partner of football talkshow 'Sky 90 -- die Kia Fußballdebatte'" (SPONSORs, 8/11). ... German Hockey League (DEL) side Hamburg Freezers has extended its partnership with public transportation company S-Bahn. As part of the one-year extension, the S-Bahn logo will be visible on the ice and on boards at home games (Hamburg Freezers). ... Arsenal named Betfair its official betting partner in Europe (excluding U.K., Ireland, Italy and Russia). The partnership will give Betfair branding at all domestic fixtures played at Emirates Stadium plus hospitality on matchday. Betfair will also have access to first-team players to develop promotional and marketing activities (Arsenal). ... League Championship side Fulham named Coral as its official betting and gaming partner. The two-year deal, with an option on a third year, will see Coral, the fastest-growing U.K. multi-channel betting and gaming operator, become the sponsor of the Putney End Stand while also providing betting services at Craven Cottage on matchdays. Coral will have visible branding on the sides of the giant screen and TV gantry of the Putney End Stand. Coral betting booths will be located around the stadium while the Coral brand will appear on in-stadium marketing rights consisting of LED pitch perimeter advertising and logo presence on the interview backdrop (Fulham). ... Mexican beer brand Tecate signed a new regional partnership with Ligue 1 champion Paris St. Germain. With PSG, Tecate added another European football club to its partnership roster, alongside FC Barcelona and Juventus. The two parties signed a five-year deal (Paris St. Germain). ... Clear Channel UK extended its relationship with The European Tour by becoming the official media partner of the British Masters supported by Sky Sports. Through its digital platform, Storm, Clear Channel will help deliver visibility and brand awareness of the £3M ($4.6M) tournament through its network of advertising sites, with the main focus on the key arterial routes to the north and west of London (European Tour). ... A-League side Sydney FC signed PCC Lawyers as the Sky Blues Westfield W-League sleeve and front of shorts sponsor on a one-year deal. PCC Lawyers will appear on the clubs’ home and away playing kits on both the right hand sleeve and front of shorts (Sydney FC).

MANU PARTNERS WITH NEXON
: ManU announced a partnership with South Korean-based online games developer and publisher Nexon. The company will become the club's first social football gaming partner in South Korea, bringing the club closer to the country's 15 million followers. Fans will have access to the the South Korean version of the EA Sports FIFA Online 3 game with the addition of unique ManU branding and gameplay. The game features former ManU players such as Bobby Charlton, Denis Law, Bryan Robson, Denis Irwin, Ji-Sung Park and Andy Cole (ManU).
