Lime Announces $28M Sponsorship Deal With Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association

Lime and Flow Jamaica announced a $28M exclusive two-year telecom sponsorship deal "with the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association," according to Howard Walker of the JAMAICA OBSERVER. The deal will see the merged telecom provider "affixing its name to JAAA's events, including the Senior and Junior Trials, Jamaica International Invitational Meet and the various development meets." Lime & Flow Sponsorship Manager Stephen Miller said, "The commitment to the JAAA represents to us the first major Jamaican sponsorship for the combined companies and based on what we are about to unveil in the coming weeks" (JAMAICA OBSERVER, 8/5). The JAMAICA GLEANER reported JAAA President Warren Blake said that "the team to the World Championships in Beijing in under a month's time could be the largest and most diverse Jamaican team to ever participate at the Games" and said that every contribution toward the program is appreciated. He said, "The cost to Beijing is formidable. The cost for airfare alone runs into five or six million. The needs of the JAAA go a far way than that ($28M), but this goes a significant way towards meeting our needs, and we are quite happy for this partnership" (JAMAICA GLEANER, 8/5).
