Bundesliga Side FSV Mainz Expects To Generate $103.5M In Revenue During '15-16

Bundesliga side FSV Mainz is expecting to generate €95M ($103.5M) in revenue during the upcoming '15-16, according to Kathrin Hartmann of SPONSORs. The main reason for the positive outlook "is the club's high transfer income from sale of its players." Mainz "will announce its target figures and financial numbers for the '14-15 season during its annual general meeting in the fall." During the '13-14 season, the club generated €76.7M. Should the forecast hold true, Mainz "would close the gap to regional competitor Eintracht Frankfurt." Frankfurt had a revenue of €99M during the '13-14 record season, largely due to its participation in the UEFA Europa League (SPONSORs, 8/5). In a separate piece, Hartmann & Wagner reported the club "renewed its sponsorship deal with tech company Schott." The company "will remain a third level business partner of the club until the end of the '15-16 season." Schott will pay an estimated €300,000 ($327,000) for the rights (SPONSORs, 8/5).
