Spanish Football League To Send Coaches To China To Teach Football Classes

Spanish Football League (LFP) President Javier Tebas said in Shanghai that the LFP will sign an agreement with the Chinese government to send Spanish football coaches to the country to work in schools, according to the EFE. Tebas, who is accompanying Atlético Madrid on its trip as part of the LFP World Challenge, said, "We are on the verge of signing a pilot program in which 40 Spanish coaches will come to Chinese schools to offer their knowledge and and promote a new football course." Tebas added that the program will also include a meeting to "exchange experiences between representatives" of the Spanish and Chinese second divisions. He also "expects that in the future the LFP will open its own football schools" in China. Tebas: "During every preseason and postseason we will be bringing our clubs to China to bring La Liga to our fans. The football industry has to be in China because it is a key country for its development" (EFE, 8/4).
