Tokyo Organizing Committee Unveils Logos For 2020 Olympic Games

Tokyo organizers on Friday unveiled the official logos for the '20 Olympic and Paralympic Games, according to the AFP. The logos are "based around the letter 'T' for Tokyo and an upended '=' sign to represent equality." The Organizing Committee in a statement said, "The black colour of the central column represents diversity, the combination of all colours. ... The red of the circle represents the power of every beating heart." In addition to "Tokyo," the T also is meant to represent "Tomorrow" and "Team" (AFP, 7/24).
