German 3rd League Football Club Dynamo Dresden Reports $3.3M Profit In '14-15

German 3rd League football club Dynamo Dresden reported a profit of €3M ($3.3M) during the previous season, according to Arndt & Schlegel of BILD. Dynamo Finance Dir Robert Schäfer said, "The financial crisis at SG Dynamo Dresden is over. We are robust and healthy. We've made a profit of more than €3 million during the 2014-15 season." The club, which was relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga after the '13-14 season, generated revenue of €19M. That is the "same it made in the 2nd Bundesliga." Schäfer: "Alone 40 percent came from ticketing. The sponsorship revenue was 40 percent higher than expected." The club also received more than €1M from its participation in the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) (BILD, 7/15).
