Marketplace Roundup: DEL Club Dusseldorf EG, Hyundai Extend Partnership Through '16

German Hockey League (DEL) side Dusseldorf EG and Hyundai have extended their cooperation for another year until the end of the '15-16 season. As the club's official automotive partner, Hyundai will provide vehicles to the team's players and management (Dusseldorf EG). ... Handball Bundesliga (HBL) side Frisch Auf! Göppingen renewed its deal with EMAG for another season. EMAG will receive ad space in camera view during the team's home games (Frisch Auf! Göppingen). ... Leeds United named fleet management service provider Global Autocare its official South Stand sponsor and vehicle partner in a record-breaking partnership that will see its brand dominate Elland Road's South Stand for the next three years. Under the new agreement, Global will also receive branding facing the M621 Motorway and other in-stadium assets (Leeds United). ... Brasileiro side Flamengo, in partnership with the Brazilian Federal Coin Reserve, will "launch commemorative coins" to celebrate the club's 120th anniversary. The 30,000 coins "will be distributed" in the following amounts: 15,000 bronze for R$90 ($29) each, 10,000 resin-coated bronze for R$150 ($48), 3,500 gilded bronze for R$284 ($91) each, 625 resin-coated silver for R$480 ($153), 625 silver for R$420 ($134) and 250 gold for R$27,303 ($8,722) each (MAQUINA DO ESPORTE, 7/13). ... Serie A side Carpi "signed a sponsorship deal with Italian asset management company Azimut." The deal will see the Azimut logo appear on the front of the Carpi shirts "for the next two seasons, with an option to extend for a third." Financial details "have not been released but the deal is likely to be worth a high-six figure sum annually." Fellow Serie A side Hellas Verona, meanwhile, has "signed Datacol as a sponsor." The company, which manufactures automotive parts and lubricants, "will act as an official sponsor of the team for the next two seasons" (SOCCEREX, 7/14). ... Constitution Motors has been unveiled as the new official vehicle supplier for Norwich City FC ahead of the club’s first season back in the Premier League. The dealership has provided the club with eight vehicles from the Mitsubishi range (Norwich City FC). ... German club FSV Frankfurt has extended its partnership, likely to be worth an annual €150,000 ($165,000), with online tool supplier Werkzeugstore24 for another two years. The deal will see Werkzeugstore24 "continue as a third-tier premium partner of the 2. Bundesliga side." It will "have a branding presence on two cam-carpets, TV-visible sponsor boards and the dug-outs at the Frankfurter Volksbank Stadion -- where it will also have a corporate box -- and on interview backdrops and the team bus" (SOCCEREX, 7/14). ... The Malta FA has "concluded talks with Bank of Valletta to renew the sponsorship deal for the national football leagues for another three years" (TIMES OF MALTA, 7/12).
