Bundesliga Side Hamburg Reportedly In Talks With Potential Investor

Bundesliga club Hamburg SV "is reportedly in talks with a potential new investor," according to Daniel Jovanov of GOAL. Former Hawesko Chair Alexander Margaritoff "is negotiating with club representatives about a potential investment." The 63-year-old could buy shares in the Bundesliga side. Reports "talk about a seven-figure investment." Margaritoff would join Klaus-Michael Kühne and Helmut Bohnhorst, who "have already purchased a stake in the team." The club has so far sold off 9%. Kühne acquired a 7.5% stake for €18.75M and Bohnhorst paid €4M for 1.5%. Hamburg Chair Dietmar Beiersdorfer valued the club's professional football division, HSV Fußball AG,  at €275M ($307M) during the most recent general meeting (GOAL, 7/9).
