Sharapova Accused Of Unsportsmanlike Behavior On Her Way To Wimbledon Semifinals

Maria Sharapova has been "accused of unsportsmanlike behaviour on her way to booking a Wimbledon semi-final berth" against world No.1 Serena Williams, according to Michael Chammas of the SYDNEY MORNING HERALD. American Coco Vandeweghe, who "disposed" of Sam Stosur in the third round, "complained to the umpire about Sharapova moving during her serve motion in her three-set loss to the Russian." Vandeweghe: "She was moving around in the middle of my motion on my second serve." Sharapova was "unaware of the 23-year-old's gripe when asked in the press conference, refusing to react to her opponent's accusations." Sharapova: "I mean, it is what it is. What she said, I'm not going to argue against her words." (SMH, 7/8).
