Londrina BMX Track Begins Taking Shape After A More Than $250,000 Investment

Londrina, Brazil's BMX supercross track has begun taking shape thanks to a R$491,250 ($157,500) investment from the Int'l Cycling Union (UCI) and a R$341,250 ($109,400) investment from the Brazilian Sports Ministry. The new project will be divided into two parts. The first will be track construction and the second will be the construction of a new training center. Brazilian Cycling Federation (CBC) President José Luiz Vasconcellos said that it is expected that construction will yield high income as well as a social project, with the installation of a BMX school for children (Ministério do Esporte).
