Marketplace Roundup: DSV, Sportfive Extend Marketing Deal Ahead Of Time Until '21

The German Ski Federation (DSV) "will continue to work with marketing agency Sportfive as both parties agreed to extend their contract ahead of time." The cooperation between the DSV and Sportfive, which dates back to '08, "has been extended for a further five years until '21." Sportfive will remain the official marketing agency for all Alpine, skicross and ski jumping World Cup events in Germany (SPONSORs, 6/22). ... Paris Vegas "closed a partnership" with São Paulo-based tourism agency Passaporte FC to bring 440 fans behind the scenes of Brasileiro side São Paulo on June 26. For between R$1,400 ($455) and R$2,000 ($650), participants will take a Paris Vegas limousine to Morumbi stadium and will have "access to the locker room and pre-game routine of the athletes" (MAQUINA DO ESPORTE, 6/22). ... The European Union of Gymnastics announced that it has renewed its partnership with Azerbaijan's Kapital Bank for another year. The deal was signed by UEG President Georges Guelzec and Kapital Bank CEO Rovshan Allahvediyev. Under the extended partnership, which began in '13, the Azerbaijani bank will have its brand name associated with the UEG calendar of events (UEG). ... League One side Barnsley announced a new commercial partnership with Burrow Kia, which has become the club's official training wear sponsor. The deal will see the Burrows brand featured on the front and back of Barnsley's training wear, with the Kia corporate logo displayed on the sleeves (Barnsley). ... World Rugby announced the appointment of Duracell as the official battery provider for Rugby World Cup 2015 in England. The deal represents a further boost for a tournament that is set to break all previous attendance, viewership and commercial records. The Duracell announcement follows the appointments of Heineken, Land Rover, Société Générale, DHL, Emirates and MasterCard as Rugby World Cup 2015 worldwide partners, Coca-Cola, Canon and Toshiba as official sponsors, Gilbert as the official ball supplier, Canterbury of New Zealand as official sportswear supplier, Clifford Chance as the official law firm, EY as the business advisor, Dove Men+Care as the official male grooming supplier and ESP as the master licensee (World Rugby). ... With the ambition of operating one of the world’s most safe and secure sports and entertainment venues, Stadio della Roma has appointed the Int'l Centre for Sport Security to provide the security strategy and design. The ICSS will coordinate with Stadio della Roma's design and engineering consultants and other stakeholders to determine the threats, risks, vulnerabilities and security operational requirements for Stadio della Roma (ICSS).
