More Than 6 Million Watch Women's World Cup Match On ARD

German public broadcaster ARD "recorded more than 6 million viewers for its broadcast of the FIFA Women's World Cup round of 16 match between Germany and Sweden," according to Daniel Sallhoff of QUOTENMETER. Saturday's game, which started at 10pm, attracted 6.12 million viewers. The number translated into a market share of 26%. In the target demographic 14-49, Germany's 4-1 victory obtained a 17.6% share as 1.46 million viewers tuned in. The U21 Euro match between Germany and Denmark was watched by 4.91 million viewers starting at 8:45pm. The game, which aired on German public broadcaster ZDF, had an 18.2% share. In the target demo, Germany's 3-0 victory obtained a 13.5% share as 1.18 million viewers tuned in (QUOTENMETER, 6/21).
