MO FARAH "missed two drugs tests" a year before the London 2012 Olympics. At a time when the British distance runner's "controversial" American coach ALBERTO SALAZAR and training partner GALEN RUPP are "facing a series of allegations, Farah's own problems with the doping authorities reached a peak only a few months after he started training under Salazar" in Feb. '11. The two missed tests put his participation at the 2012 Olympics, where he won two Gold Medals, "at risk" (London DAILY MAIL, 6/17). ... The film "United Passions" was named as the "lowest-grossing film" in U.S. box office history. The Hollywood Reporter has now "confirmed the self-congratulatory project," starring TIM ROTH as "controversial" outgoing FIFA President SEPP BLATTER, "scored the puniest total of all time in North America." It had a final weekend return of just $918 from 10 cinemas (London GUARDIAN, 6/18). ... Cyclist LIZZIE ARMITSTEAD has "pulled out of the Aviva Women's Tour after a collision with photographers shortly after winning" the first stage. After crossing the finishing line as the winner in Aldeburgh, the 26-year-old Briton "crashed into photographers at the roadside" (London INDEPENDENT, 6/18). ... Brasileiro side Botafogo striker BILL was "accused" by ex-wife SABRINA DE OLIVEIRA NASCIMENTO of sending "murder threats and a suicide threat due to a court ordered pension" of R$20,000 ($6,500). Audio of Bill making the threats were "recorded" through cross-platform messaging app WhatsApp. Nascimento "filed an Accident Report" for the incident in São Paulo (UOL, 6/18). ... A leading provider of private healthcare in China has "announced a partnership" with former NBA player STEPHON MARBURY to "fund a program providing medical rehabilitative care to children and young people." Beijing Ducks point guard Marbury said, "Children with disabilities who receive rehabilitative care have a better chance for a higher quality of life." Marbury said that rehabilitation in China is "still in its early stages compared with some other countries," such as the U.S., and "needs more attention and development" (CHINA DAILY, 6/18).
