Second Bundesliga Side 1860 Munich Investor Disappointed With Club

Second Bundesliga club 1860 Munich investor Hasan Ismaik "has voiced his disappointment about the recently completed season," according to Nils Lehnebach of SPONSORs. However, Ismaik, who has already invested more than €50M in the club, "is expected to make further contributions." Ismaik: "I want to invest in a big way. We need a better coach and more players." However, he "expects contextual explanations for the disappointing season" in which the club narrowly avoided relegation to the 3rd League. He also wants "to see his money being used in a more targeted manner." Regarding the club's "controversial" Sports Dir Gerhard Poschner, he said, "We have to pay Poschner until 2017. Now they want to fire him. Where's the logic? We have to pay him €500,000 ($567,000)! If we hire a new sports director, will he also be fired after a year? Three million, four million! Hiring, firing, hiring, firing! They've lost too much of my money!" (SPONSORs, 6/16).
